Maryam has a background in Architecture from the American University of Sharjah (NAAB Accredited), with a Masters of Science in Urban Design from Georgia Institute of Technology, graduating with honours, as well as a Research Degree in Interdisciplinary Urban Design University College of London (UCL).

Work Experience
Her work experience of 8+ years with the Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council and Dubai Expo 2020 showcases her various skills and passion in the urban design and planning field. Her expertise ranges from reviewing project masterplans, creating and reworking urban design strategies, coordinating and collaborating with both government stakeholders and private consultants, with her own excellent graphic visualisation skills to bring ideas forward into transformational and sustainable urban planning strategies and ideas.

With over four years of dedicated experience as a Creative Director, and an impressive background of 12 years in graphic design, Maryam stands as a true visionary in the creative industry. Her journey has been marked by a profound commitment to artistic excellence and innovation.

Throughout her career, Maryam has worked on comprehensive marketing campaigns and presentation decks for renowned clients and entities such as GITEX, Abu Dhabi Digital Authority, TAMM application, and the Women's Global Forum, Expo Dubai 2020, as well as International Student Organization at Georgia Tech and The Bartlett school of Planning at UCL.

Their impact extends to the digital realm, as they've effectively managed social media accounts and created content on varying scales.

As an accomplished artist and illustrator with an extensive career spanning over 15 years, Maryam has earned both local and global recognition. Her work has been exhibited throughout the UAE in exhibitions in Dubai and Abu Dhabi as well as her participation in Artist programs such as the Sheikha Salama Emerging Artist Fellowship. With her extraordinary passion and artistic skills, Maryam has collaborated with prestigious clientele that includes industry giants like Apple, Netflix, Deliveroo, Expo Dubai, Women’s Global Forum, Adobe MAX.

Not only a master of their craft, but Maryam is also a thought leader and advocate for diversity and inclusion in the art industry. They were honoured to serve as a distinguished guest at The Emirates Literature Festival a panel discussion on "Diversity in the Entertainment Industry," sharing the stage with luminaries like Marvel's Editor Sana Amanat. This commitment to inclusivity is further highlighted by their recurring role as a panelist at the Middle East Film and Comic Con, a platform where they have shared their insights and expertise for numerous years.
